Change Management
- Brought about change by using a three (3) schema questionnaire and helped transform logistics departments from cost centers to profit centers. Used this method with internal and external customers to recognize strengths, identify opportunities for improvement, diminish redundancies, and enhance collaboration.
- Worked with the Customs and the Port Authorities in Greece, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil to negotiate lower duties and tariffs, facilitate and expedite import and export operations, and streamline the cargo customs clearance process for my clients.
- Led negotiations of transportation service contracts for a global client; planned and implemented a distribution and transportation metrics program that helped reduce costs due to shipment delays and allowed management to make better-informed decisions. The feedback from the scorecard provided suppliers with incentive for a continuous improvement program.
- Through analysis of existing logistics configuration, and a Request for Proposal (RFP) process, helped clients re-engineer their logistics operations, negotiate improved transportation service contracts, and significantly reduce delivery costs for their TL, LTL and small package deliveries.
- Provided leadership and direction in the development and deployment of business intelligence projects; helped clients maximize the benefit of their IT systems investments by collaborating with data analysts and network personnel, as well as operations team members and other stakeholders to define goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues. Designed and deployed new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
